No More Homework
This site isn't the first to point this out, but I just happened to come across it recently in my interweb travels. Essentially what it is about is how homework really shows no statistical benefit as far as learning goes. The site doesn't touch on some issues very much though, like the fact that homework provides some benefits that are non-academic, like the ability to meet deadlines, time management, among other things which these days seem to be invaluable skills. Do I think homework should be stopped as it has no academic benefit? Of course not, but this mainly comes from my attitude of "we had to do it, and so should they."
